Did you know that herbs can replace salt in many food dishes?!
Herbs can be a great addition to your landscape and creative meals in your kitchen! They are low-maintenance, colorful, and can provide some great scents in your garden. In food dishes, herbs add flavor, color, and nutrition (a great replacement for salt, for example). Learn how different varieties of herbs can add their own unique tastes to various recipes, plus which herbs overwinter well for a longer harvest season.

Herbs are perennials and are some of the easiest plants to grow. Most herbs love sunlight and thrive outdoors, but some have the ability to do well indoors, especially in the winter. To learn more about what your favorite herbs need to thrive, you can look at the article, Herbs are Easy to Grow and Have Many Uses. Â
Some of the easy to grow herbs include basil, parsley, chives, cilantro, and oregano. Different varieties of herbs like basil can add their own unique tastes to various dishes. For example, parsley can add a milder flavor than basil and chives can be a milder substitute for garlic. Remember, there are many different things you can cook with herbs.Â
