Extension educators are eligible for promotion consideration to a higher rank. All applicants for promotion are reviewed by a committee using the General Expectations for A&P Educators as a guide. Contributions and impact in the areas of Extension teaching, scholarly contributions, and service to the community, institution, and profession are the focus of the review. The committee’s recommendation informs the final decision of the Director of OSU Extension.
The dates for the 2026 promotion process are shifting to align with other processes. When updated materials and the timeline are ready, an announcement will be made and office hours will be held to support educators.
