Michelle works in conjunction with and supports the assistant dean for OSU Extension and associate chair for the Department of Extension.
Michelle works with faculty supervisors, coordinates faculty promotion and tenure as well as the A&P promotion processes, manages timelines, supports faculty searches and orientation, advances connections with college and university partners, manages PI status requests, and provides leadership to new and ongoing projects with Extension leadership. In addition to eric Barret, Michelle is a contact for educator promotion and faculty affairs in Extension.
Michelle has managed projects including conferences, special issues of journals, team coordination, and data integration for nine years with OSU Extension, most recently serving as the program coordinator for strategic initiatives and urban engagement. Before joining Ohio State, Michelle worked for over 20 years with OFA/AmericanHort, coordinating professional development for member businesses and managing large-scale events, along with communications and publication efforts.
