OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Pat gives leadership to OSU Extension’s Family and Consumer Sciences program. She also leads our community nutrition programs, which are an annual partnership with the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services and the United States Department of Agriculture. This includes the Ohio Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – Education (SNAP-Ed) and the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP). Pat also is assistant dean for Outreach and Engagement in the Ohio State College of Education and Human Ecology.

ADDITIONAL PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Pat came to Ohio State with extensive experience in community health and nutrition programming from her work in higher education with multiple colleges, universities, and institutes in Massachusetts where she worked closely with SNAP-Ed programs, developed curriculum for and delivered nutrition workshops, and managed multiple program budgets.
Before coming to OSU Extension in 2012, Pat held several roles at the University of Massachusetts. While there, she was a project leader and educator with the Extension Nutrition Education Program for nine years and served as a lecturer in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences for eight years. While with UMass Extension, Pat gave leadership to SNAP-Ed and EFNEP programs for the lower southeast region of the state. As a lecturer, she developed course content and taught an Introduction to Nutrition course. She also has worked as a child nutrition outreach coordinator, collaborating with the Massachusetts Department of Education.
