Biography:

Cheryl has worked for the director of OSU Extension since June 2008, overseeing Extension's marketing and communication efforts. She serves as liaison between the Extension director's office, the CFAES Marketing and Communications team, and all Extension county offices/units to clarify organizational expectations, streamline processes, and ensure that all marketing and communication efforts align with the brand standards of OSU Extension, CFAES, and Ohio State.

"Most simply put, I help others get their job done." -- Cheryl Buck

As part of the Extension administrative leadership team, Cheryl makes connections for people – with resources they need, experts within Extension and the college, and media or colleagues in the industry – all to help OSU Extension professionals best represent our organization. This includes interpretation of and compliance with branding requirements, web content management, and general marketing practices.

Cheryl engages with community and commodity stakeholders, county staff, program leaders, state specialists, and other Extension leaders to ensure that all internal and external communication accurately depicts the scope and breadth of Extension's work across the state.

This includes overall marketing strategy for multiple audiences, guidance for communication efforts within the organization, and editorial oversight on general Extension publications and annual report materials.
