Selling timber isn’t something woodland owners should take lightly. The decisions you make now will not only affect you financially, but will alter the course of your woodlot for a long time to come. This program is designed to help woodland owners understand the process of planning for a timber harvest. Topics covered will include:
- Matching the timber harvest with your goals
- Marketing your timber
- Reasons to cut trees
- Deciding which trees to harvest
- Best management practices
- Timber harvest planning
- Developing a contract
The resource person for this program will be Dave Apsley, OSU Extension forestry specialist. This program will take place at the OSU Extension office meeting room, 225 Underwood St, in Zanesville.
