    Emotional vampires tend to drain the energy of everyone they encounter. These "vampires" tend to suck out your optimism, and enthusiasm rather than your blood. Their toxic behaviors can range from subtle comments, to full-blown drama. These vampires, it can be one or 100 in an organization, affect workplace productivity and lower morale. It is essential to stop having your energy drained from you. One way is to learn to identify the different types of behavior they possess. It is also vital to learn how to keep their negativity from affecting how you work and feel about yourself.

Some of the webinars target legal practitioners, while others will be directed to both the legal and agricultural communities in Ohio.

Every leader possesses her/ or his own unique set of talents. According to the Gallup Organization, "we spend too much time focusing on our weaknesses, trying to make them stronger rather than recognizing our strengths." When you focus on your weaknesses, you miss out on utilizing what you do best for your organization.

    Ohio and Cornell are partnering on a farm business and benchmarking project this year. Cornell is focusing its efforts on beef farmers. Ohio’s priorities include crop, beef and dairy farms. To assist educators and consultants completing analyses, a series of three webinars will be held on February 11, February 25 and March 11. Mike Baker, beef cattle Extension specialist from Cornell, and Dianne Shoemaker, field specialist, dairy production economics, Ohio State University Extension, will facilitate the sessions.
