FCS Professional Development Day
Our FCS All Teams Meeting is the first opportunity since the pandemic for all FCS educators and other county staff to come together in-person for a day of networking and professional development. The day will be focused on reconnecting with each other, getting to know new staff, and sharing in large and small group discussions.
9:30am - 10:15: Check-in, introductions, breakfast, and team-building
10:15am-12:15pm: Thomas Kilman Instrument-Jeff King
Because no two individuals have exactly the same needs and concerns, conflict is a natural part of our interactions with others—whether in our personal life or in our organizational life. During this session led by Jeff King, the group will explore their assessment results as well as learn strategies to apply in their own lives.
12:15pm – 1:00pm: Lunch: Open Networking
1:15pm-1:50pm: Discuss Areas of Specialization
During this session the group will break into small groups to discuss their areas of specialization with each other and what this looks like in their own counties and how they work collaboratively to address other areas of need.
1:50pm – 2:00: Stretch Break
2:00pm – 2:45: Discuss Job Functions
During this session the group will separate into their educator or other program title levels to discuss specific job duties. Greg Davis will be available to help answer any specific questions folks may have about the promotion process.
2:45pm – 3:30: Open Networking
In this afternoon session the group will break into smaller groups to answer the guided discussion questions provided.
