Farm Management Inservice
- October 6 – 10:30 am to 6:30 pm, with optional evening group activity
- October 7 – 8 am to 3 pm
Both days include lunch and light refreshments.
The in-service topics will include:
- Land lease issues
- Ag law primer
- Farm labor handbook
- Business planning resources
- Farm transition and estate planning
- Educator roundtable – Creating Farm Management Programming and Finding Funding for Education/Research/Programming
The planning team has embraced the challenge to incorporate more case studies, role playing, and flow-chart processes where possible. We also will encourage presenters to provide resources/curriculum that are “packaged and ready to go.”
This in-service will be offered free of charge to the first 40 registrants. This is possible via the generosity of the “Paul L. Wright Chair in Agricultural Law Fund.” More details and registration information will be out soon from the planning committee: Peggy Hall, Dianne Shoemaker, Chris Bruynis, Teresa Funk and Barry Ward.
